In follow-up murder case, police have come under investigation in connection with the rescue of the body of college student Maryam.

A murder case has been filed in connection with the rescue of the dead body of a student of a college student at Badaghata village in Shamnagar upazila of Satkhira. Shamnagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Alhaj Md. Nazmul Huda said the mystery could be revealed within a few days. He further said that Maryam Khatun, 25, daughter of Abdul Quader of Badaghata village, left her house on Wednesday evening and did not return home. The next day, his father made a general diary at the police station. Police recovered his body from the paddy field of Madhav Chandra Mandal, a retired teacher of Ballabpur village, on Friday morning. The deceased's brother Mohammad Ali filed a murder case with the police on Friday night without mentioning any names. Upon investigating the incident, the police found that Shaheen Hossain, a van driver in the village of Swalia, had often abused Maryam a year and a half ago.





At one point, he was beaten and handed over to the police. He was sentenced to six months' imprisonment by the Upazila Nirbahi Officer. After being released from jail, Shaheen has been questioned to ascertain whether such an incident could happen, and while studying together, Subrata Mondal and her relative Vikas Joward are being questioned about their previous relationship. Terror has been rampant in the area since the incident.
